PicTracker is an easy to use digital picture viewer with numerous tools for organizing and managing image collections. PicTracker can open most common picture formats, including JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF, and Photoshop, and makes it easy to browse through your image folders. Drag a file onto the PicTracker icon, or set it as your default image viewer to open double clicked picture files.
The default picture display window has a toolbar, scroll bars, and basic information on the file path, percent zoom, and the picture index. These details can all be turned off if you prefer an uncluttered view.
Slide shows are as easy as picking an image from a folder, and selecting the Slide Show command. They can be displayed full screen, and options allow you to display pictures continously or randomly - perfect for a quick display in a public forum or classroom. Organized sets can be saved as collection lists, and later run as slide shows.
PicTracker's collection lists are ideal for saving with photo collections burned to CDs or DVDs, so you can quickly locate and view images. The collection list contains information that uniquely identifies each file, and can be used to verify file integrity after burning, copying, or electronic transfer. File integrity verification works with any type of file, not just image files. PicTracker's collection manager keeps track of the collection lists for you, allowing you to quickly locate and open a collection list.
PicTracker also includes tools for working with files and directories, including copying, moving, deleting, and renaming file sets. Batch file renaming can include powerful regular expression searches. Large files can be split for easier file transfer, and then rejoined. Folders can be cleaned before burning to disc, removing empty folders and invisible Macintosh OS X .DS_Store files. Duplicate files, that differ in name only, can be located and deleted.
PicTracker is an excellent digital picture viewer, which may be all you need. But, if you have hundreds, or thousands, of pictures on your hard drive, and you want to get organized, PicTracker can help clean up the clutter!
