Northern States Ride 2016

Following US 101 north along the western shore of Hood Canal, a fjord on Puget Sound, I end the day in Port Angeles. A mural here depicts the Kalakala, a unique ferry designed by Boeing and built in the 1930s. Based in Seattle, it ran from Port Angeles to Victoria, B.C. during summers. Retired in 1973, and used as a fish processing plant, it is being repaired to be docked in Seattle again.
