June 27 Shelby to Kalispell MT (213/2753 mi) - While the ride thus far has been scenic and a good adventure, today we finally reach the Rocky Mountains in Glacier National Park. The 50 mile Going-to-the-Sun-Road through the park is one of the top ranked motorcycle roads in the United States, and is on my short list for this journey. Completed in 1932, the road is narrow and winding with hairpin turns. There are few guardrails as the heavy snow and avalanches destroy them.
