Knuckle Saloon, Sturgis, South Dakota. Knucklehead is the nickname for the two-cylinder, 45 degree V-twin engine manufactured by Harley-Davidson from 1936 to 1947. The knucklehead valve covers resemble knuckles on a person's fist.
